Family Program

The Family Program at Conifer Park is dedicated to emphasizing the essential role of family support in the journey to addiction recovery at our New York rehabilitation center. We understand that addiction is not an isolated issue but one that impacts the entire family. Our program is designed to educate and support families, helping them understand addiction and equipping them with the tools they need to support their loved ones effectively.

Adapting to the Times: Virtual Sessions

Due to the ongoing concerns surrounding COVID-19, our Family Program has adapted to ensure the safety and health of our participants. While in-person family visitations are on hold, we remain committed to fostering strong family connections. To this end, we offer telephonic and video sessions to host family meetings during a patient’s treatment. These sessions are crucial for maintaining the family bond and providing necessary support, even from a distance. Arrangements for these sessions can be made through our dedicated case management services.

Comprehensive Support for Families

Understanding the complexities and emotional toll of addiction, our Family Program offers a comprehensive approach to support and educate families. Addiction can be a confusing and challenging time for everyone involved. Our program is structured to demystify addiction and provide families with practical strategies to support their loved ones and themselves.

The Family Program includes a variety of educational and interactive components:

  • Lectures: Our expert staff delivers insightful lectures that cover the nature of addiction, its effects on the brain, and the recovery process.
  • Group Interactions: Families participate in group discussions to share experiences and learn from each other in a supportive environment.
  • Communication Skills Workshops: Effective communication is vital in supporting a loved one through recovery. Our workshops focus on improving these skills to facilitate better understanding and support.

These sessions are designed to offer families the knowledge and skills they need to navigate the challenges of addiction and recovery. We aim to help families rebuild trust, improve communication, and develop strategies for a healthier, supportive environment.
