Conifer Park, Inc. offers a very generous paid-time-off package. Time off is pro-rated based upon date of hire. Union employees employed as of the first of the year are eligible for 9 holidays, 2 personal days, a total of 10 sick days, 7 floating holidays and 10 days of vacation. Based upon years of service, the maximum amount of vacation time off is 25 days. Part-time employees (20 hours to 31 hours), are also eligible for many benefits on a pro-rated basis.

Current Career Opportunities

DRIVER
Location: NYC (driver to be located in the Queens/Bronx area)
FT/40 Monday-Friday 8am – 4:30pm: This Driver will work under the direction of the Transportation Coordinator at Conifer Park to pick up/drop off patients from the NYC/Downstate area, meet up with the Upstate Conifer Park Driver at a designated location in the Newburgh area, exchange the patients and deliver them to their final destination.

REQUIREMENTS: High School or GED preferred; Valid NYS Drivers License with clean history/record; 1 – 3 years experience; Ability to read and follow a map or directions for driving; Ability to communicate with clients;  CPR certification required; Willing to work overtime if necessary.  Spanish speaking a plus.

 

NURSE PRACTITIONER
Location: Glenville, NY

FT/40 TBD
Evaluates and manages detox protocols on the Detox Unit.  Evaluation and treatment of all patients as needed for medical problems. Develops and implements patient management plans, medication and therapy recommendations, records progress notes, and assists planning of continuity of care.

Requirements: 1 – 3 years experience as a nurse practitioner. Experience in detoxification / addiction nursing.  Certified Nurse Practitioner – Family Practice with valid NYS License. CPR Certification

 

REGISTERED NURSE
Location: Glenville, NY

Per Diem all shifts
Performs assessments focusing on physiologic and cognitive status. Formulates a goal-directed plan of care. Evaluates effectiveness of care and patient progress toward outcomes.

Requirements: Associate Degree, current NYS RN license w/1-3 yrs exp and CPR certification required.

 

LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE
Location: Glenville, NY
Part time evening and overnight

Per Diem all shifts
Collaborates with the RN in the implementation of a total health care regime including participation w/ patient and family teaching including discharge planning. Provides data to assist in the evaluation of patients' responses to plan of care. Med pass.

Requirements: Vocational/Technical School w/ 1-3 yrs exp. Current NYS LPN license and CPR certification required.

 

ADDICTION TECHNICIAN
Location: Glenville, NY

FT/40 days Sunday – Thursday
FT/40 days Tuesday - Saturday
FT/32 days every Fri, Sat, Sun, & Mon
FT/32 evenings every Fri, Sat, Sun, & Mon
FT/40 overnights Sun thru Thurs
FT/32 overnights every Fri, Sat, Sun, & Mon
PT/16 overnights Sun & Mon
Per Diem all shifts
Monitors, oversees, and escorts patients. Review notes and appropriate documentation on patients on a daily basis helping to ensure continuity and compliance with treatment. Provide psycho-education services. Monitors and enforces the facility policy as it relates to patient behavioral management issues.

Requirements: HSD or GED. 1-3 yrs experience in the Human Services or Health Care field, including positions requiring patient contact and general use of appropriate interpersonal skills including patient to staff boundaries and management of patient/client groups. NOTE: some positions required Adolescent experience & CPR.

 

MAINTENANCE TECH
Location: Glenville, NY
FT/40 Monday – Friday (rotating weekends) 8:30pm – 5:00pm.
To assist in achieving safety, maintenance, improvements and operations of buildings and plant equipment by carrying out a work plan developed to provide corrective, predictive, and preventative maintenance. 

Requirements: High School or GED required. Vocational/Technical a plus. 2-3 years experience in maintenance/Healthcare environment preferred.  Ability to demonstrate appropriate skills in HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical.

 

HOUSEKEEPER
Location: Glenville, NY
FT/40 Tuesday thru Saturday  8:30am – 5:00pm.
Performs the day-to-day housekeeping and laundry functions necessary to provide the goals of a clean healthy environment in accordance with the Department of Health, Safety, and Departmental regulations and guidelines.

Requirements: Less than High School education (GED and/or High School preferred). No prior experience or training required.

 

DRIVER
Location: Downstate NY
FT/40 TBD. Under the direction of the Transportation Coordinator pick up patients and drive them to a designated location to transfer the patients to the upstate Conifer Park Driver.

Requirements: HSD or GED, a valid NYS Driver’s License with a clean driving record and one to three years of experience.  CPR required.

 

 DIETARY ASSISTANT
Location: Glenville, NY
FT/40 & PT/20  TBD
Assist in the preparation and service of all aspects of the Dietary Department. 

Requirements: HSD/GED preferred. Experience in food service and/or food preparation a plus

 

OUTPATIENT CLINICS:
(Glens Falls, Plattsburgh, Rochester, Schenectady, Syracuse/Liverpool, & Troy)

SOCIAL WORKER
Location: Glens Falls, NY
PT/20 TBD
Provides assessment to diagnostic services to outpatient clients.  Provide individual, family, group and crisis counseling to a caseload of up to 30 clients.  Provide assessment and diagnostic services to outpatient clients.  Provide case management part of a multi-disciplinary team.  Document in the clinical record in accordance with facility and social work standards.

RequirementsCSW or MSW with CASAC and commitment to obtain CSW within 2 years; License / Certification CSW, R preferred; 1 – 3 years Case Management in Chemical Dependency; CPR Certification required within 6 months of hire.

 

SECRETARY
Location: Rochester, NY
PT/12 TBD
Provide administrative support to the outpatient staff.

Requirements: High School Diploma/GED. One to three years of office experience required.  Must be proficient in typing and have excellent communication and computer skills. CPR Certification required within 6 months of hire.
