Conifer Park, Inc. offers a very generous paid-time-off package. Time off is pro-rated based upon date of hire. Union employees employed as of the first of the year are eligible for 9 holidays, 2 personal days, a total of 10 sick days, 7 floating holidays and 10 days of vacation. Based upon years of service, the maximum amount of vacation time off is 25 days. Part-time employees (20 hours to 31 hours), are also eligible for many benefits on a pro-rated basis.

PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT
FT/40
Develops and implements patient management plans, medication and therapy recommendations, records progress notes, and assists planning of continuity of care. Performs history and physical examinations on patients. Evaluates and manages detox protocols on the Detox Unit. Pre-Admission clearance for patients with medical symptoms and Pre-Admission Interviews when indicated.
Requirements: Must have current NYS License and Physician Assistant certificate from National Certification Commission. 1 – 3 years experience as a physician assistant; Experience in detoxification / addiction medicine exp a plus.
EVENING NURSE MANAGER
FT/40 hours
Under the direction of the Director of Nursing:
- Provides Nursing expertise and education to all Nursing staff, including orientation of new hires and includes supervisory responsibilities
- Identifies staff instructional needs and provide teaching.
- Provides patient education classes for smoking cessation.
- Assists staffing coordinator with staffing and scheduling.
- Manages material resources in a cost effective manner
- Ensures adequate medical supplies, narcotics and over the counter medications.
REQUIREMENTS: AAS required, 4 year/ Bachelor’s Degree preferred. A valid NYS RN License. 1-3 years supervisory experience and CPR Certification.
REGISTERED NURSE
PT/16 7:00a—3:30p
PT/16 11:00p-7:00a Friday & Saturday
Per Diem all shifts (as needed)
Performs assessments focusing on physiologic and cognitive status. Formulates a goal-directed plan of care. Evaluates effectiveness of care and patient progress toward outcomes.
Requirements: Associate Degree, current NYS RN license w/1-3 yrs exp. CPR certification required.
LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE
Part time & Per Diem all shifts (as needed)
Collaborates with the RN in the implementation of a total health care regime including participation w/ patient and family teaching including discharge planning. Provides data to assist in the evaluation of patients’ responses to plan of care. Med pass.
Requirements: Vocational/Technical School w/ 1-3 yrs exp. Current NYS LPN license and CPR certification required.
ADDICTION TECHNICIAN
FT/32 7:30a-4:00p Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday (2 positions)
PT/ 16 7:30a-4:00p Sunday & Monday (2 positions)
FT/ 40 3:30p-12am Sunday - Thursday
PT/ 16 3:30p-12am Friday & Saturday
PT/ 16 11:30pm-8:00am Friday & Saturday
Per Diem all shifts (as needed)
Monitors, oversees, and escorts patients. Review notes and appropriate documentation on patients on a daily basis helping to ensure continuity and compliance with treatment. Provide psycho-education services. Monitors and enforces the facility policy as it relates to patient behavioral management issues.
Requirements: HSD or GED. 1-3 yrs experience in the Human Services or Health Care field, including positions requiring patient contact and general use of appropriate interpersonal skills including patient to staff boundaries and management of patient/client groups. Associates/Bachelor’s Degree may be substituted for the experience requirement. NOTE: some positions require CPR.
OVERNIGHT MILIEU MANAGER
PT/16 Friday & Saturday overnight hours.
This position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills and an appreciation of the needs of our patient population. Must demonstrate excellence in leadership and mentoring ability, promoting harmony and teamwork. This Manager is responsible for maintaining a therapeutic environment for patients and staff and for carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures including the overall direction and coordination of the units during assigned shift, including addressing complaints and resolving issues.
Requirements: HSD/GED & 2 yrs Supervisory exp working in a drug & alcohol facility required. CASAC preferred.
INTAKE REFERRAL TECH
FT/40 hours Monday – Friday 9:30-6:00
To coordinate and perform all tasks required to prepare a patient for an admission.
Requirements: HSD/GED, Associates preferred. 1 – 3 years in Chemical Dependency or in health care office.
OUTPATIENT CLINICS:
(Glens Falls, Plattsburgh, Rochester, Schenectady, Syracuse/Liverpool, & Troy)
SECRETARY – Glens Falls
PT/20
Provide administrative support to the outpatient staff.
Requirements: HSD or GED. 1-3 years clerical experience. Must be proficient in typing and have excellent communication and computer skills required. CPR is required within 6 months of hire.
DRIVER: Per Diem (as needed) –
This position requires distance driving primarily in the Capital District/NYC/Syracuse area with some local driving.
Requirements: HSD or GED preferred. MUST have a clean, valid NYS Drivers License and 1 – 3 years of driving exp. Be able to demonstrate ability to communicate well with clients, to write routine reports and correspondence, interpret documents, and demonstrate ability to read a map and apply basic math skills. MUST BE CPR CERTIFIED.
